Here are some of the books that I’ve kept in recent years, perhaps I will be updated regularly if it’s possible…
In recent read
- Days at the Morisaki Bookshop — Satoshi Yagisawa
- The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read — Phillippa Perry
- Why Nations Fail — Daron Acemoglu (re-read)
- Humankind: A Hopeful History — Rutger Bregman
- The Age of Surveillance Capitalism — Soshana Zuboff
Unfinished
- Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Started last year but couldn’t finish it yet due to the length and complexity of the characters which covered sooo many things, leading me to lose track of the particular storyline I was following (pages 80 maybe?)
- Pecundang by Maxim Gorky. Started ages ago, and already finished. But when i decided to re-read it again, I finally figure out why this book is hard to finish. The translation is so poor that it makes me couldn’t understand the context well
